Formed in 2001, Wellington is
committed to providing high quality, high value consulting
services and software. Wellington recognizes that a key to
client satisfaction is exceptional service. Our philosophy
is to have a management team member not only lead, but take
an active role in service delivery. This hands-on style allows
us to get to know your organization better and provide more
personal service.
Our staff consists of highly qualified nursing,
coding, laboratory, radiology, financial and systems professionals
with expertise in coding, billing, charge master, compliance
and reimbursement (DRGs and APCs) and revenue cycle. Several
are nationally recognized experts in areas of coding, charge
master, compliance, operations and OPPS. Almost all of our
staff have 10-25 years of healthcare and consulting experience
with national consulting firms. Our staffing philosophy is
to recruit senior level professionals, rather than entry-level
staff.
Wellington is a national leader in outpatient
prospective payment systems. Our staff has analyzed the impact
of APCs for provider groups (e.g., AHA) and payers as well
conducted APC assessments and performance reviews for over
100 hospitals and systems. Based on these projects, we have
developed specific methods for improving operational and financial
performance as well as software for identifying lost outpatient
payments, facilitating chargemaster analysis and maintenance
and monitoring APC financial performance.
