APC Recovery Program
The APC recovery program uses the Ambulatory Claims Editing
System to identify the individual claims that are likely to
contain lost APC revenue. The recovery process uses chart
reviews to verify the edits and assign the correct code so
the hospital can receive the additional APC reimbursement.
APC Documentation Assurance
The APC documentation assurance program helps hospitals improve
coding, compliance and financial performance through enhanced
documentation and charge capture methods. We use our CDM,
claims editing and coding analysis software to identify possible
charge capture and documentation issues. Corrective action
plans and coordinated educational sessions are developed to
resolve each issue. Charge capture and coding patterns as
well as financial performance are tracked to monitor progress.
